Greenland’s raw beauty never ceases to amaze me, day in and day out! After an extraordinary stand-up paddling adventure amidst the majestic icebergs, I’m back home in the warmth of Switzerland, filled with gratitude for the experiences and lessons I’ve gained.

Each iceberg is a unique masterpiece, varying in shape and size. I vividly remember the thrill of seeing these magnificent ice sculptures for the first time back in 2005, and my enthusiasm has only deepened over the years. These sleeping giants draw me in like a magnet, reminding me to maintain a safe distance as I paddle nearby.

Greenland is a realm where ice reveals its spectacular forms – big, bigger, and absolutely enormous. Calved from the vast inland ice, these icebergs are composed of tightly compressed snow that has fallen over millennia. Like grand actors in an eternal play, they create an otherworldly atmosphere. In winter, trapped in the pack ice, they become frozen pieces in nature’s grand design – spectacular and awe-inspiring. Come summer, they transform into floating sculptures, embarking on uncertain journeys guided only by the whims of wind and current. From my paddleboard, I truly appreciate their towering presence, each one a testament to nature's incredible artistry.

In addition to his commercial assignments in Switzerland, Jean-Luc Grossmann is dedicated to visual storytelling, self-exploration, and raising awareness of themes often overlooked in everyday life. The spirit of travel and adventure is integral to his identity. Since childhood, he has been passionate about living in harmony with nature and exploring remote, untamed places around the globe.

For Jean-Luc, travel is not just about the landscapes; it’s also about the connections he forges with locals and the insights he gains into their cultures. These encounters have become some of his most cherished memories from each journey. He continually seeks to explore the many facets of photography, inspiring others to embrace curiosity about the new and the unknown.
