2 years of expedition-planning.

Months of physical and mental training.

Days spent researching supraglacial lakes and talking to glaciologists.

Testing equipment on Swiss lakes.

Taking a glacier rescue course.

3 tough days of hiking to the lake, and 2 days back to base camp.

400 km of stand up paddling completed, with 50 km left to Kullorsuaq, our final stop.

Out of the 5 possible lakes on our satellite maps, we only reached the very last one.

The moments captured in those images are the result of time, effort, and sometimes overcoming obstacles. It takes persistence and determination to be in the right place at the right time, and the effort to make those moments happen often goes unnoticed.
